Halliburton is an energy-services company whose principal executive offices are at 3000 North Sam Houston Parkway East in Harris County, Texas, with a Houston mailing address. Founded by Erle P. Halliburton in Duncan, Oklahoma, in 1919, the business began with oil-well cementing. It provides products, services and software for the oil and natural gas industry, from locating hydrocarbons and evaluating geological data to drilling, well construction, completion and production optimization. Its two operating divisions are Completion and Production and Drilling and Evaluation. The company works with energy producers across the life cycle of reservoirs and operates in more than 70 countries.
