Hannaford

Hannaford is a supermarket chain headquartered in Scarborough, Maine, and part of Ahold Delhaize’s U.S. grocery business. Its origins date to 1883, when the Hannaford brothers sold produce from a cart on Portland’s waterfront. The chain now operates stores in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. Its supermarkets sell groceries and fresh foods, and many locations have pharmacies and online pickup or delivery services. Hannaford also works with regional food producers and supports food access and health programs in the communities where it operates. Its charitable foundation funds food, education and health initiatives across the same five-state market.
