Macon-Bibb County

Macon-Bibb County is the consolidated local government serving Macon and Bibb County in central Georgia. The consolidated government began operating in January 2014, bringing city and county administration together. A mayor and county commission lead its government, with administrative offices on Poplar Street in Macon. Its departments provide public works, fire protection, emergency management, recreation, solid waste services and economic and community development. The government also supports public infrastructure, parks and local facilities. Residents and businesses use its offices and online services for permits, service requests, public meetings and other county business, alongside services provided by separately elected county officials.
