Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works

The Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works is the territorial agency responsible for transportation policy, roads and related public infrastructure. Known by its Spanish initials, DTOP, it oversees programs connected with highways, transit coordination, vehicle records and driver services. Its operations include public-facing service centers and digital systems used by residents across Puerto Rico. The department works with component agencies and other government bodies to maintain mobility, administer transportation requirements and plan infrastructure improvements throughout the archipelago.
