Rhode Island Department of Administration

The Rhode Island Department of Administration is a state executive agency that provides financial and administrative support across Rhode Island government. Led by the director of administration, it develops and administers the state budget and coordinates purchasing, contracts, personnel management and state facilities. Its divisions and programs also support accounting, auditing, information technology, statewide planning, library services and other internal government functions. HealthSource RI, the state’s health insurance marketplace, is among its programmatic functions. The department provides policy direction on administrative and financial matters and is based at One Capitol Hill in Providence.
