San Diego Miramar College

San Diego Miramar College is a public community college in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego and one of the colleges operated by the San Diego Community College District. Founded in 1969, it initially focused on training law enforcement officers and firefighters before expanding into a comprehensive community college. Miramar serves about 14,000 students annually and offers associate degrees, transfer programs and career education in fields such as biotechnology, aviation, automotive technology and public safety. The campus is home to the San Diego Regional Public Safety Training Institute and specialized centers supporting biotechnology and advanced transportation programs.
