Ohio Auditor of State cyberattack

The Ohio Auditor of State took its web server and online accounts offline after an Oct. 25, 2026, cyberattack. A temporary public page was available Oct. 30 while normal website restoration continued, and audit clients could have payment difficulties. The office said it was not ransomware and backups prevented data loss; attribution and full recovery remain unresolved.
