Columbus is Ohio’s capital and an incorporated municipality in central Ohio. Franklin County contains its principal urban core and identifies Columbus as its county seat in the state’s county profile; the city’s municipal tax directory also identifies parts of Columbus in Delaware and Fairfield counties.
