An Uplink technical bulletin signed by a company executive described a cybersecurity event that began at about 8:06 p.m. Eastern on April 2, 2026. The bulletin said the company suspended and isolated affected services while teams implemented hardware and software fixes, and it identified affected units as models manufactured before June 2023. Uplink’s cyber-specific wording confirms cyber involvement for registry purposes, although it does not establish malicious access, exploitation or another specific mechanism.

Alula’s official service history identified the affected product as the BAT-MINI alarm communicator and documented a major platform disruption, phased restoration and full recovery. M2M Services acquired Uplink Security assets in 2022, and Alula merged with M2M Services in 2023, placing the Uplink and Alula brands within the same corporate group.

The report said pre-June 2023 BAT-MINI units were affected, alarm signaling and interactive services were disrupted nationwide, and all services were restored by April 4, while cause, data impact and affected-account count remained unknown.
