Tompkins County, New York, USA

Tompkins County is a county in central New York’s Finger Lakes region. Ithaca is its county seat and only city, situated at the southern end of Cayuga Lake. The county includes rural towns, villages, farmland and terrain shaped by glaciation and stream-cut gorges. Cornell University, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College are major educational institutions in the county.
