Location overview
Weber County occupies part of northern Utah’s Wasatch Front, with Ogden as its county seat and largest city. Its landscape runs from the marshes and open water of the Great Salt Lake to the Wasatch Range, Ogden Valley and the canyons carved by the Weber and Ogden rivers. The county was organized in 1850, and farming, livestock and the arrival of the transcontinental railroad shaped its early development. Weber County had about 278,200 residents in 2025. Aerospace, advanced manufacturing, logistics, health care, education and outdoor recreation now complement its agricultural and railroad heritage.
