Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida, USA

Milton is a small city in Florida’s western Panhandle, about 20 miles northeast of Pensacola along the Blackwater River. It serves as the gateway to the Blackwater River State Forest and Blackwater River State Park, making it a regional destination for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and other outdoor recreation. Located along U.S. Highway 90 and Interstate 10, Milton combines a historic downtown with a growing residential population while remaining part of the larger Pensacola metropolitan area. The city had an estimated population of about 11,400 in 2025.
