Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia, USA

Newnan is the county seat of Coweta County in west-central Georgia, about 35 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. Its historic center and surrounding residential districts sit among the rolling, wooded hills of the Piedmont near Interstate 85. Incorporated in 1828, Newnan prospered as a cotton and railroad town, and an unusually large collection of 19th-century buildings survived to shape its present-day appearance. The city had about 44,900 residents in 2023. Health care, manufacturing, logistics, retail, film production and professional services complement its role as a growing Atlanta-area community.
