Coopersville, Ottawa County, Michigan, USA

Coopersville is a small city in north-central Ottawa County, Michigan, about 20 miles northwest of Grand Rapids and roughly 15 miles east of Grand Haven. The city lies within the surrounding geographic area of Polkton Township but is an independent municipality, with Interstate 96 running just south of the city and providing its primary connection to the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and the Lake Michigan shoreline. Coopersville developed as an agricultural and railroad community and retains a compact historic downtown surrounded by residential neighborhoods, industrial properties and substantial farmland; more than half of the land within its municipal boundaries has historically been devoted to agriculture. The city is also known for the Coopersville & Marne Railway and the Coopersville Farm Museum. Coopersville covers approximately 4.81 square miles of land and had 4,828 residents at the 2020 census.
