fairlife, LLC is a Chicago-based dairy company that produces ultra-filtered milk, protein shakes and other nutritional beverages under the fairlife, Core Power and Nutrition Plan brands. The company was formed in 2012 as a joint venture between dairy cooperative Select Milk Producers and The Coca-Cola Company, combining Select Milk Producers’ dairy-production expertise with Coca-Cola’s marketing and distribution network. After testing its ultra-filtered milk in regional markets, fairlife expanded nationally in 2015 and developed into one of Coca-Cola’s largest beverage brands outside traditional soft drinks. Coca-Cola acquired Select Milk Producers’ remaining ownership stake in January 2020, making fairlife a wholly owned subsidiary.
