Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA

Milford is a town in southern Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, situated along the Souhegan River about 10 miles west of Nashua and roughly 45 miles northwest of Boston. The town occupies approximately 25.5 square miles of rolling, wooded terrain within the Souhegan Valley and includes a compact historic center organized around the Milford Oval, where New Hampshire routes 13 and 101A intersect. Milford developed as a mill and quarry community and remains a regional center for retail, manufacturing and public services serving nearby towns in south-central New Hampshire. The incorporated town includes both the densely settled Milford census-designated place and more rural outlying areas, while a small portion of the Wilton census-designated place extends into its western side. Milford had 16,131 residents at the 2020 census, and the Census Bureau estimated its population at 16,686 in 2025.
