Government of Guam

The Government of Guam administers public affairs for the U.S. territory of Guam in the western Pacific. The Organic Act of Guam established the modern territorial government in 1950 and provides its basic framework. Its executive agencies, legislature, judiciary and public authorities deliver services and carry out law and policy for the island’s residents and businesses. Government functions include public health, education, public safety, land management, utilities, taxation and economic development. The official Guam portal links residents to agencies and public information, while individual departments and authorities administer specialized programs across the territory.
