Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, commonly called LA Metro, is the principal public transportation agency for Los Angeles County. It operates bus and rail services, manages fares and supports a large network of stations, maintenance facilities and customer systems. Metro also plans and funds transportation projects with local, regional, state and federal partners. Its services connect dense urban neighborhoods, suburban communities, employment centers and major destinations across one of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas.
