Tidewater Telecom is a family-owned telecommunications company headquartered in Nobleboro, Maine, that provides telephone and broadband services to residential and business customers in the state’s Midcoast region. The company owns and operates local telephone and fiber-optic infrastructure serving the Bremen, Damariscotta, New Harbor, Sheepscot, South Bristol and Union exchange areas, and offers services including fiber and DSL internet access, traditional and internet-based telephone service, hosted business communications and network support. Tidewater Telecom is part of the Maine-based LTC Family of Companies, which also includes Lincolnville Networks and the LCI broadband brand, and maintains customer service, technical support, switching, network-monitoring and engineering operations in Nobleboro. It is recognized by the Maine Public Utilities Commission as an incumbent local telephone company and eligible telecommunications carrier.
